Toad Songs

In this novella it is postulated that between reincarnations we enter a quasi-dream-state in which some of the events of the previous life are processed, just as our nightly dreams process the events of the previous day. Although the phenomenon is dream-like in some respects, the people we encounter are real – not just creations of our imaginations. Out relationships with souls we may have loved for many incarnations are a central concern.

As I am 81 years old, I feel this may be my last work of fiction that is of novel or even novella length. Therefore it may be a swan song of sorts. It does reflect some of the concerns of my old age.
