Unspeakable

Paul Christiano was a talented dancer and choreographer who committed suicide on the first of
August, 2015, at the age of 39. His choice to end his life was the culmination of living a waking nightmare that began in 1999 when he was captured for ordering erotic images of young girls. At that time he was placed on the sex offender registry. For the rest of his life his public identity as a “pedophile” overshadowed all other facts about him. Because of this, despite his unquestionable talents and his appealing personable qualities, he was unable to maintain either a successful career or a satisfying life.

Paul said that when he had something important to say, he would try to say it in dance. He had some important things to say about his life, and he did so in a work titled “Unspeakable.”
