Unspeakable

Unspeakable

Paul Christiano was a talented dancer and choreographer who committed suicide on the first of August, 2015, at the age of 39. His choice to end his life was the culmination of living a waking nightmare that began in 1999 when he was captured for ordering erotic images of young girls. At that time he was placed on the sex offender registry. For the rest of his life his public identity as a “pedophile” overshadowed all other facts about him. Because of this, despite his unquestionable talents and his appealing personable qualities, he was unable to maintain either a successful career or a satisfying life.

Paul said that when he had something important to say, he would try to say it in dance. He had some important things to say about his life, and he did so in a work titled “Unspeakable.”

Brotherly

Brotherly

Sad boyThis short and poignant film explores an incestuous, pedophilic, homosexual relationship between an older and a younger brother. The facts it presents challenge a number of deeply held societal assumptions about the nature of what is good and evil in human relationships. It is based on a true story.

For A Lost Soldier

For A Lost Soldier

From the movie -- a lost soldierAt some point during the second world war, a Dutch boy of maybe eleven years fell in love with a Canadian soldier who was passing through his area with his military contingent. One day, without warning, the beloved soldier, with his contingent, moved on. It was a devastating experience for the boy. This event was described in a book titled “For a Lost Soldier,” which was made into a movie.

Rudi van Dantzi, the boy who suffered the loss of his friend, was the author of the book and the choreographer of the little ballet that is captured in the this video.

This is the original, authentic and complete version of this fine video. I don’t usually like stories about inanimate objects coming to life but this is an exception. It’s a great video for both adults and children. It takes about 25 minutes.
