Alexander's Choice

With great sensitivity and insight, this novel explores an issue that many consider too controversial to touch: love between a man and a boy. The setting is Eton, a prestigious boys school in England. It is clearly a setting with which the author is familiar, and it is described in fascinating detail. The characters are vivid, multidimensional, conflicted and real. Events that are beyond anybodies control build toward a powerful conclusion. Along the way one is prompted to question one's assumptions, and to think more deeply about the erotic forces that drive us. A good read. Highly recommended.
